Do I have to be retired to live at Caloundra Gardens?
No, Caloundra Gardens is designed for the over 50’s looking to live in a resort style, friendly, secure environment, so retired or not you are welcome.

Do I own the home?
Yes. You enter into a “Site Agreement” with the Park owner which allows you to reside on the Site within the park.

How long does a “Site Agreement” last?
The “Site Agreement” is perpetual until terminated by the Resident when you sell your home and leave the community. Home Owners once entered into the “Site Agreement” are protected through the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003.

Am I able to receive Rental Assistance when purchasing a home in Caloundra Gardens?
Yes, If you receive a Government Pension you are entitled to a weekly rental Assistance payment through Centrelink.

What fees and Expenses am I responsible for when living in Caloundra Gardens?
There is a weekly Site Fee payable which covers the cost of your Water rates, Council Rates and the maintenance and repair for all Caloundra Gardens Facilities. Home Owners are responsible for the payment of their House Insurance, Electricity and Telephone as well as maintenance of their gardens.

Are there any Exit Fees payable to Caloundra Gardens when I leave?
No. You retain 100% of your capital when you sell your home through the Caloundra Gardens office (less commission paid).

Can I have a pet at Caloundra Gardens?
Upon approval from Caloundra Gardens Management, a small dog is permitted.
